Bespoken Project: Final Shelf and Final Thoughts
Using a different type of wood and a bit of the Trolase acrylics, I was able to assemble my shelf:
FINAL THOUGHTS:
- I like how this shelf came out. I really like my design and some of the choices I made, especially when it came to the platform of the shelf. I was surprised at how sturdy it was, with the platform remaining stiff and holding up pretty well! It did not break when I put my collection on it.
- I wish I had pushed it more when it came to the materials. I originally wanted to incorporate more of the Trolse Acrylic medium, however, the colours I really wanted were not available to me, and I didn't have enough time to get them elsewhere. I had to make do with what I had.
- When using the shelf to hold my things, I realized that it is probably only good to use for the smaller crystals of my collection as it gets crammed up with bigger ones. It's not too big of an issue, but this realization makes me want to make a bigger one...
- I wish I had a better design for the back of the shelf for it to hang. it's not really pressed against the wall when hung out, jutting out a bit with the pin. I had to hold it up. I think I got caught up more with the design, haha...
